About the airport and its traffic
Delhi-NCR is one of the country’s biggest business and commercial hubs along with being the seat of the Central Government, Parliament, Supreme Court and several other hallowed government institutions.
The Delhi International Airport is located in Palam and is easily accessible from all parts of the National Capital. The Delhi Airport also serves as a major hub for several NCR cities, including Gurgaon and Noida among others. There are more than 60 airline carriers that operate from the Delhi International Airport, also called the Indira Gandhi International Airport. These include both global and domestic airliners.
The Delhi Domestic Airport is one of the busiest in the country, with flights available to almost every major city in India along with several tier-2 and 3 cities. In the year 2010, IGIA was awarded the fourth best airport in the world in the 15–25 million category. In 2016, IGIA has become Asia-Pacific’s only airport to achieve a carbon neutral status.

These include Air Canada, Air Asia, Air France, All Nippon Airways, Air China, British Airways, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Japan Airlines, KLM, Malaysian Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, Korean Air, Swiss International Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways, Kuwait Airways, Turkish Airlines, FlyDubai, United Airlines, Lufthansa, and Virgin Atlantic. All domestic airlines like Indigo, Jet Airways, SpiceJet, GoAir, have regular flights connecting Delhi Airport with all major cities of India.
